Aurora Business Park is a City of Calgary land development project that will bring new business and job opportunities to a vacant 329.0 acre site in northeast Calgary. Once completed, about 183.0 net acres will be ready to accommodate the construction of buildings suited to a business campus environment, such as office, retail, hotel, laboratory/research, packaging and limited light industrial facilities.
Approximately 110.0 acres of the property will remain as green space.
The area has been designated as a suburban employment centre (employee intensive node) to support City Council’s strategy of influencing traffic patterns and living near where we work. Its proximity to the airport, major roadways, proposed Green Line North LRT route and established neighbouring communities makes it a choice business location and brings new, nearby employment opportunities to residents.
The development supports the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and The City’s goal to promote logical, efficient and sustainable development.
The planned first phase of development is for the northeast section of the site.
