The municipality of Rigaud is within the corridor of the A-40 linking Montreal (50 km east) and Ottawa (130 km west). In Mont Rigaud, the municipality offers a rural living environment and a business environment in turmoil in recent years. Both national and international scope of educational institutions are located there, including the Learning Centre of the Canada Border Services Agency and College Bourget. Rigaud is the only municipality in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region to have its own vacant industrial space in three separate parks. The municipal authorities are considering the development vision to be adopted for these spaces. The new Dr Oscar-Gendron Business Park aims to become an area of economic development which respect the environment in terms of building an ecopark.
